The devices we carry

Falcon supplies ZKTeco attendance terminals across fingerprint, face and card models, in capacities from small offices up to large workforces. The specification that matters most is rarely the one on the front of the box: it is template capacity, reading speed, and whether the unit pushes records over the network or only exports to a USB stick.

Choosing the reading method for your workforce

Fingerprint is the cheapest and most familiar but struggles with worn, dry or dirty fingers — precisely the profile of factory and site workers, so it is the wrong sole choice there. Face recognition handles those environments far better and is contactless, but direct sun or strong backlight defeats it, so mounting position matters more than the datasheet suggests. Cards are cheap and reliable but allow one employee to clock in for another. For mixed workforces we often deploy different methods at different gates rather than forcing one device on everyone.

Capacity and queue time

A device rated for a few hundred templates slows noticeably as it fills, and a queue at the gate at 8am is a real operational cost. Where a large shift starts at once, the answer is more than one reading point rather than one faster device.

Network connection, not a USB stick

Devices that only export to USB guarantee somebody must walk to each unit every month, and the data will eventually be collected late or not at all. Network-connected terminals push records automatically, allow central management of employees and shifts, and show attendance in real time across branches.

Shift rules are the real project

Grace periods, early leave, overtime, night shifts crossing midnight, permissions, holidays and weekly rest — this is where attendance systems succeed or fail. Before buying, take your two most awkward cases and ask to see them demonstrated in the software. If the answer is "we will handle that manually", it is a clock rather than a system.

Payroll export

Ask specifically what the export looks like and whether your accounting package reads it directly. A system whose output must be retyped every month is a system that will be abandoned within a year.

Doubling as access control

Most of these terminals also drive a door lock, so one device gives both a timesheet and an entry log with a single enrolment. Where that applies we specify the lock and its battery-backed supply as part of the same package.
